西河金陵

　　這首詞主要是隱括劉禹錫的兩首詩(shī)而成。其一，《石頭城》：“山圍故國(guó)周遭在，潮打空城寂寞回。淮水東邊舊時(shí)月，夜深還過(guò)女墻來(lái)?！逼涠?，《烏衣巷》：“朱雀橋邊野草花，烏衣巷口夕陽(yáng)斜。舊時(shí)王謝堂前燕，飛入尋常百姓家?！睆堁住对~源》說(shuō)：“清真最長(zhǎng)處，在善融化詩(shī)句，如自己出?！?/p>

　　這首詞是懷古詠史之作。作者面對(duì)金陵“佳麗地”，目睹自然界的滄桑，因而引起人事興衰的感觸，抒發(fā)出自己的政治見(jiàn)解和哲理觀念，表現(xiàn)了作者追念古昔和寄慨當(dāng)今的思想情感。

　　全詞共三疊。第一疊寫(xiě)金陵的山川形勝。首先點(diǎn)明金陵是一個(gè)“佳麗地”，接著以“南朝盛事誰(shuí)記”一語(yǔ)總括歷史興亡之感。第二疊寫(xiě)霧夜在斷崖邊憑吊古跡，曾經(jīng)系過(guò)莫愁佳麗的游艇之樹(shù)，而今已倒倚，舊跡仍在，可人事已非了。第三疊寫(xiě)金陵觸目荒涼之慨。從眼前景物中，不見(jiàn)“酒旗”，不聞“戲鼓”，只見(jiàn)尋常巷陌中的燕子對(duì)語(yǔ)，引起作者對(duì)金陵古都朝代更替的無(wú)限感慨。

　　這首詞藝術(shù)技巧很高，它沒(méi)有正面觸及重大歷史事件，而是通過(guò)景物描寫(xiě)作今昔對(duì)比，形象地抒發(fā)作者的滄桑之感，寓悲壯情懷于空曠境界之中，是懷古詞中別具匠心的佳作之一。

譯文
南朝金陵興盛的情景，而今誰(shuí)還能記憶呢？江岸環(huán)繞著髻鬟似的山峰相對(duì)聳立。長(zhǎng)江的大浪長(zhǎng)年累月?lián)浯蜻@座孤獨(dú)而寂寞的古城張著風(fēng)帆的船正向遙遠(yuǎn)的天邊駛?cè)?。臨水的陡峭山崖上的樹(shù)好像倒下來(lái)靠在崖上.莫愁姑娘或許曾在這里系過(guò)艇子吧！一切只剩下陳?ài)E了，但只見(jiàn)郁郁蒼蒼一派青色，還有那濃霧中露出的半截城壘。夜半更深，月亮從女墻上升起來(lái)，而賞心亭東望著秦淮河.
那酒旗飄揚(yáng)、鑼鼓喧天的熱鬧景象究竟到休息去尋找呢？想來(lái)就是東晉時(shí)代王謝家族的府居所在。燕子不知道這是什么世代。燕子在夕陽(yáng)里喃喃細(xì)語(yǔ)，好像也在相互訴說(shuō)這里的盛衰興亡吧。

注釋
西河：唐教坊曲。
佳麗地：指江南。更指金陵 。用南朝奇謝眺《入城曲》詩(shī)句“江南佳麗地，金陵帝王州”。
南朝盛事：南朝宋、齊、染、陳四朝建都于金陵。
髻鬟對(duì)起：以女子髻鬟喻在長(zhǎng)江邊相對(duì)而屹立的山。
莫愁相傳為金陵善歌之女。
女墻：城墻上的矮墻。
燕子不知何世：劉禹錫《烏衣巷》：“朱雀橋邊野草花，烏衣巷口夕陽(yáng)斜。舊時(shí)王謝堂前燕，飛入尋常百姓家?！?/p>

ZHOU Bangyan – Lyrics to the Melody of the West River (In remembrance of bygone eras at Jinling)
In this prosperous region, who remembers the South's grand eras?
Mountains and fields of the countryside and the winding Yangtze
Surround and build up away from the city.
Raging billows like loneliness towards a solitary castle heave,
On the distant horizon navigate sails and masts of ships.
Off the precipice rugged trees overhang still,
Who still comes here to secure the boat of a gent who never worried?
All that remains on a historic site is sentimentality.
And fog has come to one half of a castle conceal.
Deep in the night, over the parapet the moon shines,
In grief I look towards the east where pass the waters of River Huai.
What a flourishing city full of wine vendors' pennants and operatic drumming!
Faint is the memory of the Wangs, the Xies and their neighbourhoods,
Swallows have come and gone for generations that all have lost count of.
There are now ordinary people along the same streets and alleyways,
Telling tales of the rise and fall of former times in the setting sun.
